okay so I'm flying into Auckland, hiring a car, travelling around, ferry-ing it accross to Picton and then travelling around and then flying out from Christchurch. Tell me, are there any MUST see's? Any photographers dream spots? :) I'm flying out september 5, what's the weather like around that time? Will I see any snow?

@katie: It will be early spring in September, so it might be a little cold. I think you will see snow in the South Island. The South Island is a goldmine for photographers. Driving down the West Coast of Sound Island is a must. You can go to places like Franz Josef Glacier, Fox Glacier and Lake Matheson. Milford Sound is a must too. Queenstown is beautiful, so is Glenorchy. I also love Nelson Lakes National Park, Mt Cook, Lake Tekapo and Moeraki Boulders. In the North Island, there's Tongariro National Park and Castlepoint. Well, those are my favourite places in New Zealand, hope that helps :)
