@Elaine-: I can't remember how I did it because I was just playing around in Photoshop. But I do remember converting the photo to bw first and I added the canvas texture effect :)

Agree with most of your commenters, this is a massively endearing photograph - yup, it's simple, yup the composition is elegant and nicely chosen, and yup the tones are really well set. Very appealing photo! :)
